FlagMyListing provides a free rental listing scam detection tool. Our tool analyzes text patterns to identify potential scam indicators. The tool is provided for informational purposes only.

2. No Guarantee of Accuracy

Important: FlagMyListing is not a substitute for your own due diligence. Our tool uses pattern matching to identify known scam indicators, but:

  • A "Low Risk" or "Safe" score does not guarantee a listing is legitimate
  • A "High Risk" score does not guarantee a listing is fraudulent
  • New scam techniques may not be detected by our current patterns
  • You should always verify listings independently before making any payment

3. Not Legal or Financial Advice

FlagMyListing does not provide legal, financial, or professional advice. Our scam detection results are informational only. If you believe you have been scammed, contact law enforcement and consult with a qualified attorney.

4. User Responsibilities

  • Always view rental properties in person before making any payment
  • Verify property ownership through official county records
  • Do not rely solely on our tool to determine if a listing is legitimate
  • Report suspected scams to the appropriate authorities (FTC, FBI IC3, local police)

5. Limitation of Liability

FlagMyListing is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any losses, damages, or harm arising from your use of our tool or reliance on our scam detection results. This includes, but is not limited to, financial losses from rental scams that our tool failed to detect.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, code, and branding on FlagMyListing are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our scam detection engine or website content without written permission.

7. Affiliate Disclosures

FlagMyListing earns revenue through advertising (Google AdSense) and affiliate partnerships (identity protection services). When you click affiliate links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate partnerships do not influence our scam detection results.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
